  • Collected: Bell's Bend area of Nashville, Tennessee, USA, from Ordovician deposits.
  • Estimated Age: about 450 million years old.
  • Comments: Scale is in 100ths of millimeter. Initial picture before cleaning. Denticle was fractured off after 1 hour treatment with 15% acetic acid and boiling 30 minutes.
