  • Estimated Age: about 450 million years old.

  • Comments: Scale Bar is 0.3 mm.  About 50 times more conodonts were recovered from this soft amorphous vein than were found in the hard crystalized limestone surrounding it.    This is thought to represent an immature blade, although probably from a dwarf species.  Darkfield, under oil immersion.  BH1FBB08L02 is 1000 X magnification view of "bracelet" structures that appear to be a single ring of spherical cells each containing a single lighter inclusion body located on the inner side of the ring.  Do these represent cell nuclei?.
