  • Comments: Scale Bar is 0.3 mm.  About 50 times more conodonts were recovered from this soft amorphous vein than were found in the hard crystalized limestone surrounding it.    Darkfield, under oil immersion.  Imge M02 shows detail of denticle tissue.  Notice horizonal laminations, and rows of oval densities that might represent cell nuclei or protein deposits apparently created during growth.  Click on picture to expand.
