1.1 miles west of Nolansville Road, Lower Bigby Formation, just above the
laminated Hermitage Formation
- Comments: Scale Bar is 0.5 mm. Darkfield
illumination of conodont under oil immersion. Aligned according
to base of denticles between two cusps at -25 degrees. Images
use JVC digital videocamera. This is a "curly" element that shows
potato-chip like rotation of the anterior cusp away from the plane of the
rest of the denticles. Views from top show different lighting styles.
The M3 was taken with the element clinging to the edge of a glass slide
from best contrast.
