Shale from Upper Ordovician Shale in Nashville, Tennessee,
USA.

Estimated Age: about 450 million years old.

Comments: Scale Bar is 0.5 mm. Recovered from thin silty shale
between two limestone beds. Very few fossils found in sample.
Image M01 was made with direct overhead illumination from two fiberoptic
spots, image M02 used darkfield illuminaton of conodont in water drop,
M03 was same darkfield image after conodont was allowed to dry out. M04
was done with better focus of darkfield, under oil immersion. Another
