Comments: Scale Bar is 0.2 mm. About 50 times more conodonts
were recovered from this soft amorphous vein than were found in the hard
crystalized limestone surrounding it. Darkfield, under
oil immersion. This is thought to represent a very early immature
specimen. Click on lower picture to expand image. Are tiny
dots inside the denticles bacterial contamination, or evidence of conodont
growth? Image BH1FBB05M04A is a detail of the above photo.
Small scale bar on this view is 10 microns (a human red blood cell is 8
microns across).
